The Bird and the Worm
my current feelings

and so i received a little surprise in the mail this morning
i can't believe that its finally here
although i took so long for me to actually get it..
i've been getting more and more mail recently
reminds me of when i am in the states when i have to check my mail
at least once a week and it can get flooded with stuff sometimes

i get all jumpy especially when there is something for me in the mail !
i love snail mails, but people nowadays rely so much on modern technology
msn, emails, SMS etc etc !
lets go back to smoke signals and tracing pigeons LOL !
today im feeling a little chirpier despite my throat irritating the heck out of me
and it sucks that im craving for chili pan mee T_T

and my sudden insomnia phase is starting to attack me again
sigh..

yesterday i when i was at home after dinner, i started d/l more Tv series to watch
i have a external full of movies but yet i still feel that i have nothing to watch -_-
when we are spoilt for choices we do go crazy
so the more often we complain we have nothing to wear,
its actually because we have TOO MUCH TOO WEAR !
more clothes means more extra stuff to buy to match your clothes
right right !
so in the end we just feel like we have nothing to wear
and also that we are just maybe more lazier to dig something up from ure cupboard
imagine if u only have one shirt/underwear/panties etc etc
LOL ! how can you then complain you have nothing to wear then !

okay what am i talking about -_____-
i think the sweet overdose i had mid-yesterday-night is finally taking effect
this is what you get when you have ice cream and chocolate at 3 am
when you cannot sleep at night ! AHAH
you try to fight insomnia with a chocolate fix !

ANYWAY, its time to move on with the pictures

Day 1 @ Paradise ISLAND aka Pangkor Laut Resort
excessive gilanesss/hyperness ahead.
you have been warned.

heehe some information about the resort that i got of their website !

i never regretted taking up this super offer to this 5 star hotel.
since i never been to one before
i thought that it would be a perfect occasion to get 5S's (ASSES! XD)
(swimming, sand, sauna, sand and sleep) into my system !

We took a van to Lumut so we could take the boat over to the resort

but we stopped by at Bidor to have breakfast !

this was when i bought some of the famous Heong Peng also ! LOL
i was like O_O
when i saw all the good heong peng, peanut biscuits and also tau sar peng
i wanted to buy everything but i had to refrain if not ill be suffering carrying everything with me
on the boat
i even saw lou poh pengs ! i bet its not as nice as the one at hongkong but i was so tempted !
after a good breakfast meal we head over to Lumut's jetty
the hotel staff at the jetty greeted us with cold towels and drinks !
we were then ushered to a seating room with aircon and internet !
even the freaking toilet has air con LOL !!
i could really get use to such treatment !

no pictures of the setting area cos i was too busy using the internet that time
AHAHAHA

at first i thought we would be taking a ferry over to the island but
actually fact they had a private speed boat to take us over !

EHEHEEH

after a about 15 minutes of hair sloshing and sea breeze-ing
we finally reach HEAVEN !!!
who said heaven has to only be high up in the sky right ?

anyway so after we reached and were greeted by the staff over there
wed had more refreshments and cold towels again -_-
and finally were checked in !

i was so excited to see our room !
but our guide said that its better if we had our lunch first since the rooms are not ready
and they will bring our luggage to our rooms directly !

so we prodeded to the beach era and it was also time for one of my fav part of that day

we had lunch with the awesome view of the beach

and before our dishes arrived i took the opportunity to explore the beach !

and so our food arrived !

Sashimi Platter ! how could i say no to such things right
Fresh Vege Platter ! the Garlic Dip that came with it just enhanced the flavs
of all the veges ! ♥
Fried Calamari with Mayonnaise
and finally Tuna Salad

after all the munching and chewing,
we only finished our appetizers

So now for the main course !

Fried Cod Fish with Sweet and Sour Sauce
Burger and Fries
Mamak Mee
and a Meat/seafood Platter consisting of salmon, lamb, beef,
grilled vegetables with a side of 3 different sauces and a corn in cob!

opps i nearly forgot about our prawn noodles with the epic huge prawn
i love hot soup with poached eggs ♥

LOL !

After almost admitting defeat, i looked at the dessert section out of curiosity
and next thing we knew !

Coconut with orange sorbet and mix fruits hidden nicely inside
orange sorbert on the side of an apple pastry with strawberry compote
and Chocolate and vanilla icecream with nuts and chocolate syrup !

looking back at these pictures im also like
we really ordered so much and was too spoiled with choices.

okay i feel that this post is getting a little over hand
so ill save more for later !
im proud that i didn't give in and stopped half way and totally ignore this post in the end
but writing this posts with all the pictures makes me all *big smiles*

If there is a Rocket

there she stood in the middle of the room
all eyes on her
but she does not feel it
all she can see are the two people in front of her
does she reminisce of the happy moments of the past
or do they haunt and taunt her when she is lying at home staring at the fan

there must be a way to reach out to her
i see her pain as she tries to fight the tears
suddenly the music playing in her head fades away
and reality of ol' school romanticism creeps begins to seep in
and she is now facing a room of people with their gavel
she feels more save in her world
she tries to fight the impossible
to at least get another lost moment in her world

she might need it to survive the next day.
who knows what might happen.
with all the uncertainties of this three way play
or maybe now it should be seven way play ?
after all i am just an outsider in her world.

as the light in the room gets brighter and her comfort gets pixelated
she is taken aback
she loses the fight.
defeated and breathless
her feelings start to pour like the recent weather

but the thing about the weather now is how
there is always hope for rays in the near future
or even an opening.
sometimes it can give you a little jump
angry dark army shields can be defeated with a few spec,
just like in our history books.

a spec of hope is just what she needs right now.

i try to reach out to her
but before i could do anything,
it begins to rain
and now its my turn for my world to go dark.

i do believe she can make it.
after all life is unpredictable right ?
just like the weather.

The Boy With the BubbleGum

a sure way to make me feel different is with color !
my mood definitely goes together with the color that im wearing
anyway this weekend was pretty much good on its own
i really enjoyed it although there were some setbacks and road bumps
but i guess when we are in face of problems
we just have to speed past it and
at least try to make the most of each situation
i know i should not start with the emotions since this is a public blog

there were so many times i opened this blog with the intention to blog
about everything but somehow there will always be something bad that has happened
that make me lose my mood or something

although i mentioned earlier that my weekend was good.
i've been having really bad lucky recently.
so much has happened to me that made me think FML !!!
but in the end i still get up the next morning and go on with
my normal duties
in a way i know there is always a way to deal with all the negativity
there is always room for tomorrow,
and changes should never be seen as a bad thing

over the weekend was a big eye opener for me
its like seeing the world from a different angle.
different emotions.
different feelings
all mashed up in a solid 2 day weekend.
so whats the outcome of this cook out ?
all i can say or should say is that.
we should never just stop where we are
if there is room for improvement we should move forward
moving backward should not an option
never let someone determine your worth.
you are your own best judge.

living constantly in denial over the years has made me into this submissive/compressive
lifestyle that i hope somehow to find an opening to.
even if its a needle wide
its better than nothing.

as you can see i really have much to say about myself.
but thats enough for the day.
we'll save it for another homey rainy night.

and not forgetting our jellyfish !

our kimchii pot with seafood, tofu and mushroom
can always brighten a rainy night
cod fish, chawan mushi and tempuraaa !

i didn't know it was going to be this small LOL

i had more salmon. but this time with mango topping :D
the salmon look so much more appetizing than the soba right LOL

and we ended out night with green tea/black sesame ice cream !
the black sesame ice cream which was my choice was so good !
the green tea ice cream on the other hand was pretty bland
the best green tea ice cream is at the Curve
at this herbal shop place next to watson

here's to many many more crunchiefied days !

Gossip/Girly Night @ Solaris Mont Kiara

it was a pretty random and last minute decision
but it was a pretty good night
the four of us had a good fair share of laughter
the guys had their beer
while the ladies settled for cocktails
with me being a noob with cocktails
brigette recommended me some minty drink
which i really enjoyed but in the end it became a bit jelak
but we did enjoy our dessert which was the Jack Daniel Banana split !
it was really good although i couldn't really taste the JD
we need another meet up soon !

finally i updated on the things that i wanted to update since so long ago !
the next post would be about my awesome trip to my definition of heaven on an island.

anyway before i forget.
my baby shatzie just went for a surgery like 2 days ago
before she went for surgery we thought she was having her period again
but actually her womb got infected !
gah.
so people out there with a female puppy
please go spay them when they are much younger okay
but thank god she is all good now
she is walking around with a cone on her head now
which i cannot help to laugh everytime i see her
cos she is always banging her cone onto things everywhere she walks LOL
in the end she will get emo with me and refuse to layan me until i go sayang her

its already november.
what happen to all the months !! it feels like it has disappeared into thin air -_-
soon it will be 2010 and new resolutions have to be made and forgotten about
LOL !!

anyway, bring on the new month luck please !

08 Sweet Disposition

another 2 post in a day sort of thing for me again ?
ahah..
i was feeling pretty intense earlier
after reading back that post.
i really sounded so confuse -_-
especially on my own emotions.
sometimes i even kind it hard myself trying to understand what
exactly i want to put into words
which is why i resort to writing them out it
stories which i keep well hidden with my painted words.
it is never a good thing to be somebody who thinks too much

giving excuses that i was this way since last time
is just unforgivable
esp to myself of course

but all i know
because of the way that i am right now.
i've already hurt so many and especially myself.

with my memory constantly failing me as well
ive been facing a giant turmoil

but there are times along the way
i really wonder if..
this was just all a big mistake
and ive been puppet all along.

but with that aside.
i need a change.
pronto.

im sorry for all the hurt i've caused.

Out of the Dark

its been a great weekend so far.
i really learn so much alot and was able to meet so many people along the way as well
some how there is always that tiring feeling since im not really a morning person
but overall its the experience to me that counts.
i guess my choice that i made a few months ago was a good one

anyway moving on to more clappy stuff that has happened to me over the whole week !
i was able to attend a big big chinese birthday party..
it was really great to see so many people there all happy and singing karaoke and everything LOL

im trying to keep my spirits up now actually
anyway im not really good in expressing emotions this way so ill leave that out for
another post.

Short Stories With
Tragic Endings

there were so many occasions where i started with a post but
in the end i just end up not finishing it
argh.. then it will just be sitting there..

there are so many pictures that i want to post up
but yet im still lagging here -_-
last weekend was pretty intense
2 days in a mall does take a toll on your body i tell you.
i mean there is only SO much you can do there after you walked into
most of the shops right ?
but at least i manage to do some shopping and book hunting..
AND SINCE WHEN MPH/Popular STARTED WRAPPING ALL THEIR BOOKS !!!
sigh i wanted to get a new book but they all wrapped their books !!!!!
but in the end i bought one base on my gut feeling
hopefully it will be a good one as Kathy Lette
but im not giving up
i must get her other books.. going to head over to
Borders and even Kinokunia soon

btw another thing i must rant about is that fact that
why must the movie 500 days of summer only showing at TGV and also at only
one cinema at one timeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!
sigh it was at Pyramid then now its all the way at KLCC !
so inconvenient i tell you..
now i might just resort to DVD T_T
im looking forward to getting the O.C Season 2 also..
i finished Season 1 already and i loveeeed it

i think its time i get a new external already since my old one is already pilled up with
movies and series
btw talking about movies.. the other day i watched Toy Story EHEHHEE
it does bring back so many cool childhood memories
i must go d/l more disney movies
just to satisfy the kid in me. nya

its only like half of the day gone but already
2 people asked me why im not as chirpy as i usually am.
sigh. i guess today im just not feeling the oomph..

but im looking forward to tomorrow BBQ and
this weekend's dinner
and if we are lucky enough Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs tonight

Disenchanted

im going to have to at least try this one
at least i owe this to myself
i owe it to everyone around me
somehow i really feel that they need to know
but at the same time how could they all still understand me after that ?
will things be different ?
i chose the hard path out and i know i would suffer

do you ever feel that you are all alone
when you are sitting at a table when everyone is laughing
you join in the fun
but somehow the real you is staring at you face front
and you wonder who is that laughing.
why is she so happy ?
can i be as happy as her ?
can i be as free as her and not be bothered all the time ?
i have come a long way to be where i am right now
now all i see, or everything around me revolves around one thing
even from the moment i wake up

how does it feel to be this trapped and so powerless ?

i live two separate lives.
i live by two separate smiles

do you really know who i am ?

bring me back to where i belong.

i hear the hooves

but where is my horse.

i need to see the white trail as i flee the scene

Like A FooJin

finally the day has come !
i actually wasn't that excited about my "small"little getaway over the weekend
before this, but right now suddenly i feel the hype ! LOL

i miss the sun sea and the beach so much

and i guess i know myself well enough when i know that i need a weekend away from the city

I just took 30 mins to pack my stuff
because i was out for dinner at bangsar @monte's
and after that to Alexis for desserts -_____-

what can i say, Singaporeans can eat.

and when i say eat i mean E.A.T
RAR !!! cookie monster styleeee

i actually have to be up in like 4 hours time -______-
so i guess i should be going
but before i go let me share you a preview to the reason behind my
"sudden" excitement !

sauna ? private pool ? hammocks ?

as promised here are some pictures that i said i want to upload since a few days ago

i can't wait for the weekend to arrive actually.
this weekend will be different from most of my previous weekends
because i will be off for my full meme vacation escapade !

today im not really a wordy person today so ill just keep it simple and short

oh before i forget thanks to Sean i now came across this new Indie Group
that i can stalk !
they are called Paper Aeroplanes !
her voice is so amazing i tell you !
im listening to them now ♥

let's get down to business with the pictures before i get lazy again

Haller's birthday ! @ My Elephant

We love the food so much that we decided that we have to go back again
and this time we celebrated Haller's birthday at the same time !
i was in charge of the cake
which made me SOOO excited because i had so many ideas swimming in my head
there were so many amazing cakes that i wanted to try and
this was the perfect occasion !
EHEHEEHE

when you are there make sure to try the duck curry
they only serve it when you request for it on weekdays
ehehehe. (i forgot to upload it wth -_-")

omg i can't believe that i also forgot to upload the birthday cake to my xanga
but that cake deserves a post on its own so its okay..
i like to keep the suspense open.

all i can say is that we were "Death-ed by chocolate" that day.

we pretty much had a great time laughing and just catching up with everyone
we need more of those happy dinners..
i must make the time to plan more famlay dinners

Shark Fin Soup
Fried Cod Fish w/ Pomelo and Dried squid
Foie Gras

okay i so totally have to say something about these dishes
The Pork Ribs was so-so for me
as i don't really know how to appreciate it.
but from the raves of the others, i know it was pretty damn good LOL (mind my language)

i have to confess, i used to love shark fin soup when i was a small kid
everytime i had the chance to have it with my family/friends i would definitely
order it, it was until i was much older that i found out how pitiful those sharks were treated
so i told myself that i will not have shark fin soup EVER !
well that was until i had it that day
i really had half the mind not to take it.
but it was staring at me and i couldn't help myself
from wanting to just take little sip to finishing the whole bowl -_______-
maafkan saya jerung jerung >_<

the fried cod fish was another dish that was really good
at first i was pretty skeptical cos im not a big fan of fish
and if that fish has a fishy taste i would definitely start puking
and that would not be a pretty sight infront of others
it wasn't one of my favorite dishes but the others really did enjoy this dish more than me -_-
but i have to admit all the
flavors complemented each other so well !

well, the Foie Gras.. what can i say... the sauce they used for
this was really refreshing
and i did actually like it, but after reading an email
about how they actually feed the the duck/Goose to get a
nice fat liver from them is INSANEEE
sigh just have a look here
and make sure you're not eating at the same time okay T_T

Chinese steamed cake
Sang Har Noodle
and jelly w/ lemongrass/lime and ice

The Sang Har Noodle came with the biggest prawn i have ever seen
LOL
actually im not sure if it was a lobster or prawn -_____-

the dessert was really refreshing but we all agreed that the Snowflake @ SS15
Lemon Jade Jelly was much better

and so, we came to the final dessert which also happen to be my FAV !
NYAHAHAHAH !

vanilla ice cream + mango + pomelo + sago

simple yet amazing dessert that blew our minds away
can you say O.M.G ♥

i was so full after dinner that it wasn't event funny anymore.
this was the first time i was able to try Chinese style fine dining
The food that they served were all simple dishes that most
Chinese people would have came across over the years,
but taste wise, it was all so different that you just wish you could have more.
maybe thats the reason why they serves equal fixed portions LOL
if they didn't probably we would all end up fighting over the food AHAHAAH

i was able to sit nicely like a lady during the whole time
while the servers scooped up our food for us
